Tripoli, April 24, 2021 (LANA) - America has warned of the repercussions of the events in Chad, demanding the speedy unification of all military elements in Libya into a single structure to control its borders and protect its sovereignty.

This came during a conversation by the US ambassador to Tripoli, Richard Norland, had on Friday with Vice President of the Presidency Council, Musa Al-Koni, during which they discussed the events in Chad and the elections to be held in Libya later this year, which the embassy published in tweets through its Twitter account.

The US embassy in Libya said in its tweets that Ambassador "Norland" spoke from London that the events in Chad confirm the urgent need to unite all military elements into a single structure that can control the country's borders and protect Libyan sovereignty.

The American ambassador stressed the importance of the Presidency Council in the advanced political structures in Libya, expressing his appreciation for the affirmation of the Vice President of the Presidency Council, Musa Al-Koni, of the strong popular support for holding the elections as scheduled on December 24th.
