Berlin, Moscow, April 9, 2021 (LANA) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian President Vladimir Putin have expressed their welcome to the formation of the new executive authority in Libya, expressing their readiness to contribute to the normalization of the situation in Libya, according to the Kremlin press office and Chancellor Merkel’s office, Thursday.

"During the discussion of the situation in Libya, the two leaders welcomed the formation of central authorities in this country for a transitional period, expressing their readiness to assist in the normalization of the situation and peaceful development in Libya. It was agreed to continue coordination in this direction," the Kremlin press office said.
