On the sidelines of his visit to Niamey: Al-Mishri meets with the Mauritanian President, the Algerian Prime Minister, and the Turkish Vice President.

Tripoli, April 3, 2021 (LANA) - On the sidelines of his visit to Niamey, the President of the Supreme Council of State, Khaled al-Mishri, held a series of meetings with the Mauritanian president, the Algerian prime minister, and the Turkish vice president, which focused on bilateral relations with these countries and ways to develop them.

Al-Mishri discussed, during his meeting with the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Sheikh Al-Ghazwani, the bilateral relations between the two countries, the need for cooperation between Libya and Mauritania and the partnership between them, and ways to develop them in the common interest of the two brotherly peoples.

Al-Mishri also discussed, in his meeting with the Algerian Prime Minister, Abdul-Aziz Jarad, and the Algerian Foreign Minister, Sabri Boukadoum, ways to support the roadmap recently agreed upon in Libya, and to support the holding of elections in a timely manner.

 In his meeting with the Vice President of the Turkish Republic, Fuad Oktay, the situation in Libya and the positive developments in the Libyan political arena that resulted in reaching a unified national government, and ways to support the new authority in performing its tasks to reach the elections on time were discussed.

According to the Media Office of the Supreme State Council, Al-Mishri reiterated his thanks to Turkey for its positive efforts made to resolve the Libyan crisis and support stability in it, stressing his keenness to develop Libyan-Turkish bilateral relations in all fields in a way that serves the interest of the Libyan and Turkish peoples.
