Local News Editor Sheds Light on Symbolism of Presidency Council Choice of Birthplace of Member as Launchpad to National Reconciliation.

Tripoli, 31 March 2021(Lana) The city of Al Zawiya west of Tripoli has played host to an event, for the release of 120 prisoners of war who were captured during the war on Tripoli in 2019.

The release of the prisoners was made possible thanks to efforts which had been conducted by the Al Zawiya city council and the dialogue forum in the city.

The local news commentator has shed light on the choice of the city of Al Zawiyah, being the the birthplace of one of members the Presidency Council as the place to launch a nationwide drive for reconciliation.

The Editor described the event as an epic for the homeland, a symphony of reconciliation and a dashing of all past injuries and calamities.

He said this epic has its symbolism either as far as time or place are concerned, and also the messages it put through to the people of Libya and the world at large.

As for time, he said,  it came after Libya has become a one executive authority, as for place, the city of Al Zawiya where the release of the prisoners took place,  had always been a haven for all cherished national sacrifices, laudable behavior and patriotism.

The Editor concluded by saying the Presidency Council has laid down the foundation of national reconciliation and a culture of pardoning in a homeland in which all Libyans feel they have a stake and a future as well.
