President of National Elections Commission meets Special Envoy of Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya.

Tripoli, 29 March, 2021 (Lana) - Chairman of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Dr. Imad Al-Sayeh, received, Monday, at the Office of the Commission’s Council, the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General in Libya, Jan Kubis and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of a member of the Commission’s Board, Abdul Hakim al-Sha'ab.

At the beginning of the meeting, the UN envoy expressed his appreciation of all international and national efforts that contributed to achieving Libya's unity, sovereignty and stability, appreciating the political parties ’vision towards the electoral process.

 Kubis also stressed the role entrusted to the commission in the coming stage, and the consequent national obligations.
