Launch of the activities of the third Libyan-German Economic Forum at the level of experts.

Tripoli, 29 March, 2021 (WAL) - The activities of the third Libyan-German Economic Forum at the level of experts, organized by the General Union of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, began on Monday in Tripoli.

During the three-day forum activities, papers and dialogue posts will be presented on economic conditions and bilateral investment in several areas, especially with the stability of the security situation in Libya. The sessions will also deal with energy, infrastructure and electricity.

The launch of the forum was attended by the Minister of Economy and Industry in the Government of National Unity, Muhammad Al-Huwaij, “Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanallah, heads and directors of a number of companies and institutions, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy,“ Fathi Wanis, ”and the President of the General Union of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry,“ Muhammad Al-Ra’id ”, and a number of businessmen from Various companies.

The advisor for economic affairs and strategies in the chamber, Ahmed Al-Mabrouk Saffar, stated, "in a statement to the Libyan News Agency," that the third forum will be held this year at the level of safety experts under more than exceptional circumstances in the whole world, as a result of the Corona pandemic, " and the Chamber's keenness to strengthen cooperation.

He added that the forum is a new start in terms of commercial investment with international partners and friendly and brotherly countries in Libya, as Germany, which is a major partner, as the volume of trade exchange reached the pre-pandemic level between 4 to 5 billion euros.

In his statement to the Libyan News Agency, Saffar confirmed that through this forum, problems of energy, electricity and infrastructure will be addressed.
