UN and UK sign an agreement for technical and advisory support to the High National Elections Commission.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, March 26, 2021 (LANA) - The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) signed with the United Kingdom government in the presence of the President of the Board of the High National Elections Commission, Thursday, an agreement to support the (People) project, with the aim of providing technical and advisory support that the United Nations mission supervises.
The agreement was signed on the side of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Gerardo Noto, director of the UNDP office, while it was signed on the side of the United Kingdom government by its ambassador to Libya, Nicholas Hobten.
The agreement aims to benefit from the support provided by the (People) project, a project that is supervised by the United Nations Development Program, in terms of raising the level of preparedness of the Commission, overcoming the obstacles that may face the preparations process, and investing the capabilities available to all parties to make the elections scheduled for next December success.
