Tunisian president discusses by phone with the French president the developments of the situation in Libya.
Pulbished on:Tunisia, March 19, 2021 (LANA) - Tunisian President "Kais Saied" and his French counterpart, "Emmanuel Macron," discussed Thursday the latest developments in Libya.
This came during a phone call made by Macron with Saied, according to a statement issued by the Tunisian presidency.
The statement stated, "During the call, the situation in Libya was discussed following President Kais's visit to Tripoli."
The statement quoted President Saied as asserting that "the solution to the situation in Libya can only be from the Libyans themselves."
He also stressed that the Libyan elections to be held on December 24, "must take place on time so that the Libyan people can regain their full sovereignty."
