Addis Ababa, 14 March 2021 (Lana) - Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Musa Fakih Muhammad, congratulated the President of the Presidency Council, Muhammad Al-Manfi, on the formation of the new executive authority in Libya, and the government's obtaining of the confidence of the House of Representatives.

In a statement issued by the African Union Commission, on Saturday, Faki praised the completion of the procedures for appointing a national unity government, praising this distinguished progress on the road to peace, reconciliation and comprehensive Libyan harmony.

He affirmed the full readiness of the African Union Commission and all the continental institutions of the organization to support the new government as it deems appropriate in various related fields.
