The Egyptian President is making a phone call with the Head of the National Unity Government, "Abdel Hamid Al-Dabaiba."

Cairo, 14 March, 2021 (Lana) - Egyptian President "Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi" stressed his country's full support for the national unity government in Libya headed by "Abdel Hamid Dabaiba", stressing Egypt's readiness to provide its expertise in areas that would achieve political stability.

This came during a phone call made by the Egyptian President this evening, Saturday, with the head of the national unity government, "Abdel Hamid Al-Dabaiba," according to the official spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency.

The official spokesman said that President Al-Sisi expressed during the phone his sincere congratulations to Al-Dabaiba for his government’s obtaining of the confidence of the Libyan Parliament, which he considered an important historical step on the way to settling the Libyan crisis.

The Egyptian President affirmed his confidence in the ability of "Dabaiba" to manage the current transitional phase, achieve comprehensive reconciliation between Libyans, and unify Libyan institutions in preparation for holding national elections next December.

For his part, Al-Dabaiba expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Egyptian President and his appreciation for the sincere role and the tireless effort that the Egyptian Republic is undertaking to settle the Libyan crisis.

He said, "The fraternal relations between Egypt and Libya are distinguished by privacy and historical ties," stressing his government's keenness to continue to push forward the intensive cooperation, consultation and coordination relations with Egypt.
