Pulbished on:Tripoli, March 13, 2021 (LANA) - The head of the National Unity Government, "Abdul Hamid Al-Dbaiba", pledged to provide the Coronavirus vaccine as soon as possible and at any price, stressing that providing, distributing and giving it to citizens will be among the priorities of his government.
In his speech at the opening session of the National Conference for the Coronavirus Pandemic today, Dbaiba stated that preparations for the distribution of the vaccine are ready and that its distribution will be without exception to all Libyans and residents in addition to citizens of illegal immigration, and the vaccine will be available to everyone, according to the Director General of the National Center for Disease Control.
In his speech, the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government had mercy on the lives lost due to the spread of the Corona epidemic, considering that they were martyrs and that he would not differentiate between them and the martyrs of defending the homeland, as he said.
He said; that we are addressing today our people who are in the streets, factories, fields and markets, and that the speech should be crystal clear, that the Libyan people are very dissatisfied with the measures taken in the face of this disease, calling on God to lift it from the country.
"We have not done anything in resisting this epidemic, and we must think differently to combat it, indicating that very great efforts have been lost and are now wasted in combating." He added.
He indicated that he had met with the Director General of the National Center for Disease Control and the Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Committee to Combat the Coronavirus Pandemic several times and that he would meet with them almost daily or weekly, adding that the efforts made in facing this epidemic are very large, but the results are zero.
He explained that huge sums of money have been spent in the face of this disease, and despite this, the vaccine has not arrived and that the exhibiting companies are commercial companies that must think with us about how to eliminate this pandemic.
Al-Dbaiba stressed the importance of providing the needs and requirements of isolation centers and paying attention to awareness, noting that gatherings in markets and attending celebrations and matches show that we do not have an epidemic, but on the occasion of this meeting we are supposed to start a new campaign in a new spirit, and it is necessary to review the previous mistakes and the previous campaign, and that we impose our precautionary restrictions required from the advisory committee and from the specialists in this regard, and to make a campaign to reduce the number of deaths, because every day we lose people we love.
Al-Dbaiba concluded his speech by saying (that this issue is not within the jurisdiction and responsibility of the prime minister only, and it is not within the jurisdiction of the technical committee or the Ministry of Health only, but this is the responsibility of all Libyans to increase awareness and imposing the muzzle will become compulsory and we must adhere to these simple restrictions and I will support, with God's help, this map and we will provide the vaccine and distribute it and we will stand together and celebrate the elimination of this ugly epidemic.)
