Italy renews its willingness to cooperate with the new government.

Rome, March 13, 2021 (LANA) - Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio reiterated that his country will continue to stand by the Libyan people and its readiness to cooperate with and support the government of national unity.

In a statement by the Italian Foreign Ministry, Di Maio welcomed the confidence granted by the House of Representatives, by a large majority, to the new government of national unity, led by Prime Minister Abdel-Hamid Dbaiba, saying, “The Libyans showed with this vote a great will and determination to overcome differences through dialogue’’, according to the "AKI" Italian news agency.
