In a statement issued in Tripoli: Parliament members affirm the necessity of continuing efforts to unify the parliament and solve all legal problems related to it.

Tripoli, March 10, 2021 (LANA) - In a statement issued today, Wednesday, in the capital, Tripoli, members of the Libyan House of Representatives welcomed the session of granting confidence to the government of national unity in the struggling city of Sirt, which embraced this historic achievement thanks to the sacrifices of the heroes of the ‘’Al-Bunyan al Marsous’’ who sacrificed their blood and souls to rid it of the clutches of terrorism according to the statement.

The statement read by the Speaker of the House of Representatives in Tripoli, Hammouda Siala, said in a press conference held at noon today “as the representatives congratulate the Libyan people for the accomplishment of this historic achievement, they wish success for the members of the Presidency Council and the government of national unity, to alleviate the suffering of the Libyan people in all parts of the country. And the completion of the tasks entrusted to them, among them the preparation for the elections, on the date set for the twenty-fourth of next December’’.

The statement added, ‘’that on this occasion, the members of the Council affirm that the "Sirt" session came as a culmination of the efforts made and the consultations that took place in several cities inside and outside the country, starting from the city of Tangiers, then Ghadames and Sabratha, which were all changed in order to unify the House of Representatives. Which was divided in difficult political circumstances as a result of the aggression on the capital.’’

The statement concluded by saying that the members of the Council affirm the necessity of continuing efforts to unify the Council and solve all the legal problems related to it, which resulted from the previous stage, so that it can perform its role in the next phase, and ensure its representation of all segments of the Libyan people, and the completion of the legal and constitutional benefits that guarantee the success of the National Unity Government and ending the transitional stages.
