House of Representatives to consider granting confidence to Government of National Unity.

Sirte, 8 March, 2021 (Lana) - The opening session of the House of Representatives began Monday afternoon to consider granting confidence to the Government of National Unity headed by "Aqeelah Saleh" and his two deputies, "Fawzi Al-Nuwairi", and "Ahmed Houmeh", in the presence of 132 deputies.

    The Speaker of Parliament said, "We will meet today in the City of Sirte, to complete an important stage of the political agreement, and fold and forever return the pages of the past and the resulting division and chaos that has burdened the nation and the citizen."

   He added that the Libyan people are looking today for the political agreement to be included in the constitutional declaration so that we can discuss granting confidence to a government that fulfills the aspirations of the people and preserves their right to political participation under the umbrella of justice and equality.

   The Speaker of Parliament called on members of the House to advance discussion and dialogue to the level of the stage and event that the Libyan people await.
