The National Council for Public Freedoms and Human Rights holds a dialogue session with the human rights delegation of the UNSMIL.

Tripoli, February 23, 2021 (LANA) - The National Council for Public Freedoms and Human Rights, one of the civil society organizations, had organized today, Tuesday, a dialogue session with the human rights delegation of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.

The session dealt with new political developments and the unification of Libya, in addition to discussing several topics, including national reconciliation between Libyans and transitional justice.

During the session, the issue of the displaced and those affected by previous conflicts in the country was also raised, and the Council's human rights report for the year 2019 was presented.

The dialogue session included the Secretary-General of the National Council for Public Liberties, "Muhammad Ramadan", a number of members of the Council, and the Director of the Human Rights, Human Justice and Rule of Law Department in the UNSMIL, Mrs. Suki Nagra.
