The Libyan Federation of Non-Governmental Organizations welcomes the outputs of the Geneva Consensus in electing the executive authority.

Tripoli, February 19, 2021 (LANA) - The Libyan Union of Non-Governmental Organizations welcomed the outcomes of the Geneva meeting, which led to the election of the executive authority in Libya, stressing that its capabilities and expertise were placed at the disposal of the new authority to contribute in building the state and its institutions.

 The Union, which includes 220 civil society organizations and associations, in a statement issued in Tripoli, prayed that God bless Libya and its people with peace, security and stability, and to enable the upcoming elections to be held on the twenty-fourth of December 2021.

The Union pledged to participate in the state building process and to present initiatives that contribute to reunification on the basis that Libya is one for all Libyans.
