Libya's delegate at the United Nations office in Geneva meets his Egyptian counterpart.
Pulbished on:Geneva, February 18, 2021 (Lana) - The permanent representative of Libya to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Tamim Baiou, discussed with his Egyptian counterpart Ahmed Ehab Jamal al-Din ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two missions.
This came during Ambassador Tamim Baiou’s meeting with his Egyptian counterpart today, Thursday, on the occasion of receiving his duties as the permanent representative of Egypt at the United Nations office in Geneva.
The meeting reviewed ways of coordination and consultation on issues of common interest and policy coordination within the multilateral diplomatic forum, in light of the current Libyan presidency of the Arab group at the United Nations office in Geneva, according to the media office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The media office added that the two sides agreed on the necessity of continuing consultations to ensure the unification of Arab positions and the achievement of common interests within the organization. They also agreed on continuous coordination to push forward and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in a way that serves the higher interests of the two countries.
