The Egyptian president receives the head of the national unity government.

 Cairo, February 18, 2021 (Lana) - Today, Thursday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received the head of the national unity government, Abdel-Hamid Al-Dbaiba, who arrived today in Cairo on his first foreign visit since his recent election by the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum in Geneva.

As announced by the Egyptian presidential spokesperson, during the meeting, which was attended by the Egyptian Prime Minister "Mustafa Madbouly" and the Head of General Intelligence "Abbas Kamel", they viewed the Libyan efforts during the coming period to lead the transitional phase, and the prospects for cooperation and coordination between the two countries to support the Libyan side in the historical responsibility in that period.

The Spokesman said that the Head of the Libyan National Unity Government, Mr. Abdel Hamid Al-Dbaiba, affirmed that the Libyan government and people are looking forward to establishing a comprehensive partnership with Egypt and benefiting from its development experience.

  From his side; President "El-Sisi" welcomed the prime minister of national unity in his second country, Egypt, once again congratulating the new Libyan leadership for obtaining the confidence of the members of the Forum for Political Dialogue, representatives of the Libyan people, which is a promising beginning of a new phase in which all Libyan state institutions work in harmony and unified in a way that raises the national interest above any considerations.

During the meeting, President El-Sisi stressed Egypt's keenness to continue to support the Libyan people to complete the mechanisms of managing their country, and to install the foundations of peace and stability to preserve their capabilities and activate their will, explaining that the current stage requires Libya to mobilize all the efforts and arms of its sons and sincere men in order to prioritize action in various fields. Starting with the restoration of security, passing through the consolidation of the pillars of the state, then ending with the initiation of service and development projects that have a direct impact on the brotherly Libyan people.

The spokesman added that President "El-Sisi" affirmed Egypt's full readiness to provide all its expertise and experience in serving the Libyan brothers, in a way that would contribute to putting Libya on the right track and preparing the country to move towards the horizons of construction, development and stability.
