 Tripoli, 16 February, 2021 (Lana) – GNA Minister of Interior, Fathi Bashagha discussed with the high-ranking Egyptian delegation visiting Libya these days headed by Ambassador Mohamed Tharwat, the arrangements for the reopening of the Egyptian embassy in the capital, Tripoli.  

The Egyptian delegation headed by Ambassador Mohamed Tharwat, Director of the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs’s office, expressed his country’s congratulations on the selection of the new executive authority in Libya and its desire for security and stability of Libya.

Practical steps have been taken to reopen the embassy headquarters in Tripoli, he said. The delegation appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Interior to maintain security in the capital, Tripoli and other cities.
