Siyala receives Egyptian delegation and discusses with them arrangements for reopening the Egyptian embassy in Tripoli.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 15 February, 2021 (Lana) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Government of National Accord, Mohamed Al-Taher Siyala received in his office in the capital, Tripoli, this Monday noon, the Egyptian delegation that began a visit to Libya headed by Ambassador Mohamed Tharwat, Director of the Egyptian Foreign Minister's Office.
The meeting discussed arrangements for reopening the Egyptian embassy and activating relations between the two brotherly countries. The website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Egyptian delegation conveyed to Siyala the greetings of his counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, and congratulated him on the selection of the new executive authority, stressing the keen interest of the Arab Republic of Egypt for the security and stability of Libya, wishing the new government all success in completing the requirements and entitlements of this stage, up to the date of organizing Elections scheduled for December 24th.
During the meeting, the Egyptian delegation confirmed that its presence in Tripoli today is to start practical steps in reopening the headquarters of the Egyptian embassy in Tripoli, which will contribute to strengthening the existing relations between the two brotherly countries, especially in the field of providing consular services and facilities to citizens in the two countries.
For his part, Minister Siyala affirmed his desire to provide all necessary facilities to the Egyptian delegation to reopen the embassy, and that his instructions to experts from the Libyan side to fully cooperate with their brothers in all their needs to start work.
