Dabaiba's media office confirms new government will be ready before 21-day deadline.

Tripoli, 15 February, 2021 (Lana) - Media office of the President of the Government of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Dabaiba, confirmed that his new government will be ready before the expiration of the 21-day period granted to him, expressing his hope that the Parliament will meet to which the new cabinet will be presented. 

 The Arabi-21 news website quoted the government media office as saying that the ministerial formation mechanism for the new government will be through the prime minister's contact through the (13) electoral districts, whether by listening to nominations or offering names. 

According to the site, the media office explained that the names revealed by social media are pure speculation and incorrect, pointing out that the prime minister is keen that his government is representative of all Libyan components and that it will be ready within 21 days.

 It is noteworthy that after adopting the list of "Dabaiba" as prime minister in the Geneva Dialogue, the period for presenting his cabinet is 21 days to the House of Representatives in order to grant it a vote of confidence, and in case that is not possible, it will be presented to the members of the political dialogue forum.

 Prime minister, Dabaiba, is trying in a race against time to form his government on time, that is, before February 26, and present its programme to Parliament to gain a vote of confidence.
