EU Ambassador to Dbaiba: We Look Forward to Work With Your Government.

Tripoli, 9 February 2021(Lana) EU Ambassador to Libya Jose Sabadell congratulated Abdul Hamid Dbaiba on his selection as head of the executive authority, indicating that the EU was prepared to contribute to transforming economy into an engine of peace in Libya.

Sabadell described in a tweet his first phone contact with the head of the new government as ‘very good’, indicating that he offered EU assistance for the Libyan people to fulfill their mandate which he described as difficult, particularly rendering the roadmap put forward by the Political Forum successful.

The EU Ambassador said ‘reconstruction and basic services would be essential, and that he looked to working with Dbaiba and his government.
