Central Committee for Municipal Council Elections reveals final turnout in Tripoli Municipal Council elections.

Tripoli, 7 February 2021 (Lana) - The Central Committee for Municipal Council Elections announced that the final turnout rate for voters in the municipal council elections, Tripoli-Centeral, reached 19 percent of the 33,740 male and female voters eligible to cast their votes.  

The committee said in a post on its official Facebook Account that the ballot boxes in the Tripoli Municipal Elections Center closed their doors at exactly seven o'clock, Saturday evening, after they opened their doors at 9 am according to strict security and health measures in cooperation with the electoral committees. According to press sources who followed the electoral process, eight lists, three women and three persons with disabilities competed in this election, while 243 observers from nine different organizations participated in monitoring the electoral process.
