Chairman of Sub-Committee announces start of electoral process for Electing Tripoli Municipal Council.

Tripoli, 6 February 2021 (Lana) Head of the subcommittee for election of the Tripoli Municipal Council, Mr. Al-Siddiq Abu Hudaymah, announced the start of the electoral process to select the municipal council of Central Tripoli, , and that all electoral centers have opened their doors since nine o'clock this morning for voters.  

Abu Hadeem stated in a press conference, Saturday, that the number of polling stations reached 37 polling stations, and that the number of polling points was 99, divided into 57 points for men and 42 for women. He added that the number of male voters reached 20,435. voters and the number of female voters reached 16,305, making the total number of 36,740 voters, according to the registration system of the Central Committee. He said in the press conference, 3 female candidates ran for the category of women, 3 candidates for those with special needs, and the number of lists reached 8 - adding that it is pre-preparation for the electoral process within the subcommittee, preparing polling stations and training cadres with a high level of professionalism to make this electoral cycle successful.

He stressed that the electoral process does not contain any security breaches, and we are continuing the polling. The election stations will be closed at seven in the evening
