UN Mission Describes Vote on Presidency Council post as ‘Free and Transparent.’
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 3 February (Lana) UN Support Mission in Libya UNSMIL said in a statement members of the Libyan Political Dialogue have cast their votes to choose members of the Presidency Council.
It described the vote as ‘free and transparent’, following the virtual meetings held for the candidates to the Presidency Council which were aired live to Libyan audience.
On her part, the UN Acting Special Representative Stephanie Williams highlighted ‘the serious participation by members of the Libyan Political Dialogue in the vote, indicating that they were unanimous on accepting its results.
