Pulbished on:Tripoli, 1 February 2021 (Lana) - A team from the General Administration for Evaluating the Performance of the Public Sector at the Audit Bureau on Monday reviewed the regulatory work system that was designed for the purpose of managing medical expenses and auditing medical transactions at home and abroad.
The Audit Bureau stated in a post on its official Facebook page that the offer included the experimental and preliminary stages of launching the system, which was designed in accordance with international standards for information technology systems in terms of providing input, processing, output and application security controls.
The Bureau emphasized that the human factor’s interference in operating the system does not exceed 20% as a first stage, which means that it is an economized system that is easy to use.
It is noteworthy that the system’s design came after the Audit Bureau’s report on spending in the General Health Insurance Fund, according to which a number of employees were referred for investigation at the General Prosecutor’s office.
This step comes within the framework of the Audit Bureau exercise of the competencies assigned to it by law related to examining, reviewing and auditing medical expenses, and activating the procedures for electronic review and control.
