French Embassy in Libya renews its support for the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum held in Geneva.

Tripoli, 1 February, 2021 (Lana) - The French Embassy in Libya has urged the need to elect a new and unified Libyan executive authority, responsible for leading the country to the national elections on December 24, 2021. 

In a statement published Monday on its official Facebook page, the embassy expressed its full support for the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum held in Geneva under the auspices of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.

"The time for change in favor of the unity and sovereignty of Libya has come," the embassy said in its statement.

The 75th Members of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum held a new round of talks in Geneva, Switzerland, according to the roadmap adopted by the forum in Tunis in mid-November to choose the new executive authority that will govern the country for a short transitional period, to run the country's affairs and prepare it for a referendum on the Libyan draft constitution before the parliamentary and presidential elections scheduled for the twenty-fourth of December.
