British Embassy Renewed its Call for Immediate Exit of Mercenaries from Libya.

Tripoli, 26 January 2021 (Lana) - The British Embassy in Libya called on all parties to accelerate efforts to implement the ceasefire agreement, including the immediate exit of all foreign forces and mercenaries in Libya, and the reopening of the coastal road.  

The press release on Monday clarified the embassy’s pledge to continue its support for the Joint Military Committee and the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, in implementing the ceasefire which stipulated that all mercenaries and foreign fighters must leave Libyan territory within three months.

 The statement welcomed the achievement of 5 + 5 Joint Military Committee, on the occasion of the three-month of the ceasefire agreement on October 23, and the important steps taken by the Joint Military Committee towards implementing the terms of the agreement, resuming flights to all parts of Libya, and resuming oil production and exports, and a proposal to unify and restructure the Petroleum Facilities Guard Services.
