Minister of Labour & Rehabilitation Stresses Importance of Implementing Plans and Programmes on Youth.

Tripoli 24 January 2021 (Lana) - Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation Dr. Al-Mahdi Al-Amin chaired this morning the meeting held at the Ministry's headquarters in Tripoli, which was devoted to discussing the partnership between the Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation, the National Programme for Small and Medium Enterprises and the National Oil Corporation.

The Minister affirmed that today's meeting comes as a continuation of the efforts and work carried out by the ministry and a follow-up to the plans and programmes it has put in place in the fields of training and rehabilitation for young people in partnership with ministries, institutions and bodies in a way that contributes to creating job opportunities for those looking for it and achieving development in all parts of the country.

The meeting, which was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Labour, the National Oil Corporation and the National Programme for Level and Medium Projects, reviewed opportunities for developing the areas surrounding the oil fields and facilities.

 During the meeting, a visual presentation was presented from the National Programme for Small and Medium Enterprises on the development of areas surrounding the oil fields, which defined the development and the possibility of its implementation, training of a number of young people in the designated areas and financing the projects they wish to undertake.

The meeting discussed the possibility of coordination between all parties participating in the meeting to benefit from development programmes through social responsibility programmes supported by the National Oil Corporation, which will have an impact on supporting the settlement and reverse migration policy.

 The meeting called for benefiting from the Foundation’s endeavor to launch small and micro projects and to form a room to follow up on what is agreed upon and to benefit from the partnership concluded by the Ministry of Labour with a number of international organizations.
