Restoration of Stability to Southern Region Priority of GNA Government.

The Head of the Presidency Council of the Government of National Accord Fayez Al Serraj said restoring peace and stability to the southern region was a priority for the Government of National Accord. 

The Southern region is in the heart of the reform program re-ignited recently after the introduction of the new currency exchange rate, Al Serraj said at an a audience with a delegation from the southern region.

He reviewed the measures taken by the Government with the aim of ensuring security, and also the funds allocated to enhance services and others to promote long range development projects in the region.

He listened to what the delegation had to say about their vision for solving the problems faced by local communities in the southern region particularly in the areas of education and healthcare.

The southern region delegation included Fatima Al Swei Member of Parliament, Ahmed Matko Mayor of Obari, Abdul Rahman Al Salhin Mayor of Wadi Etba, as well as other civil and business leaders.
