Al Meshri Calls on Al Serraj to Continue With His Duties Until New Council is in Place to Avoid Political Vacuum.

Tripoli, 29 October 2020(Lana) The President of High Council of State Khalid Al Meshri has called on Fayez Al Serraj, President of the Presidency Council to delay his decision to hand over power by end of October, 'because of the exceptional circumstances in the country, and to avoid creating a political vacuum.' In a letter addressed to the President of the Presidency Council, Al Meshri said 'in light on the circumstances in which the country is going through, and the forthcoming political talks forum which seeks a common vision that could lead to reform of the Presidency Council and national elections in the shortest time framework possible, therefore you are requested to continue with your duties until a new presidency council is in place.' =Lana=
