UN Security Council Demands Libyan Parties to Commit to Implementation of Ceasefire Agreement.

New York, 28 October 2020(Lana) The UN Security Council on
Tuesday called on Libyan parties to live up to their commitments to
fully implement the UN brokered ceasefire agreement reached by the
5+5 Military Committee.
The Security Council members welcomed the permanent ceasefire
agreement in Libya, urging the parties to show the same determination
to reach a political solution at the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum
LPDF due to be held in Tunis on Nov.9.
The Security Council members, recalling Council's Resolution No
2510 of 2020, which commits all participants in the Berlin Conference
to abide by the arms embargo and to refrain from interfering in the
Libyan internal affairs, called on member states to respect and
implement the ceasefire agreement.
The members renewed their commitment to Libya's sovereignty,
independence and territorial integrity.
