Russia Opposes Publication of International Report on Violation of Arms Embargo in Libya.

Nebenzia said Friday his country opposed publication of a report on
violation of arms embargo to Libya.
Nebenzia who assumed the rotatory chairmanship of the UN Security
Council for October said his country has opposed to publication by
the Chairman of the UN sanctions committee of a report disclosing the
names of countries and bodies violating UN resolutions on arms
embargo on Libya.
He explained that the publication would a precedent in the
Council in addition to premeditated leaking the results to the press
before it was officially submitted.
Germany failed before end of September to secure approval of
China and Russia to publish a report by UN experts assigned to
monitor arms embargo on Libya.
A ministerial meeting on Libya is due to be convened via TV link
on October 5 on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting to
be chaired by the UN Secretary General and the German Foreign
Minister Heiko MAAS, with participation of all parties to the Berlin
Conference which was held on Jan.19, 2020, which included the US,
Russia, France, Britain, China, Germany, Turkey, Egypt, UAE, Algeria,
Congo and 4 regional and international organisations.
