AMSTERDAM, September 22, 2020 (LANA) - The Dutch Ambassador to Libya
"Lars Tomers" considered that the imposition of the European Union
sanctions on human rights violators and the arms embargo in Libya is
an important step.
In a press statement today, Tomers welcomed these sanctions and
stressed that this step comes as a collective initiative in the
European Union.
On the other hand, Tomers said last Friday that free, fair and
secure elections are important elements in a political solution and
achieving stability in Libya.
In a press statement, Tomers affirmed his country's support for the
steps of the Electoral Commission in Libya, that the elections should
be democratic, comprehensive, secure and credible.
