Italian Prime Minister: UN Resolutions not Enough to End Libya's Crisis.
Pulbished on:
Rome, 9 June 2015(Lana) Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi said
UN resolutions were not sufficient to resolve the Libyan problems.
In remarks to reporters on the sidelines of the G7 meeting in
Germany, Renzi said the anticipated UN resolution was good thing, but
we have to understand that there was no one option to resolve all
problems of Libya as he put it.
Leaders of the seven major industrialized nations said 'it is
time for political agreement among Libyans.
They welcomed, in the final communiqué of the summit, the
progress made by the Libyan parties in the UN sponsored talks, led by
the UN envoy Bernardino Leon in Al Sukheirat, Morocco.
The leaders believed that 'time of fighting among Libyan has
gone, and now is the time for courageous decisions.'
They pointed out that Libyans should take the opportunity to
conclude these negotiations and form a national consensus government
that's responsible before the Libyan people.
They vowed to lend support to a broader and more representative
government that would endeavor among other things to liberate the
country from terror and criminal groups.
