The Republic of Belarus opens a consulate in Benghazi.

Benghazi, May 24, 2025 (LANA) - Belarus opened its consulate in Benghazi on Saturday, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the government assigned by Parliament, Abdul Hadi Al-Huwaij, and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Viktor Karankevich.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Deputy Speaker of the Belarusian Parliament and the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Sergei Lukashevich, along with a high-level delegation that included the Ministers of Health, Industry, and Agriculture from the Belarusian government, in addition to a number of department directors from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
During the event, both sides emphasized the important role that the Belarusian Consulate in Benghazi will play, considering it a new building block in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and a lever for joint cooperation in various fields, including politics, economics, and culture.
