Tripoli, May 18, 2025 (LANA) – The committee assigned by the Speaker of the House of Representatives to monitor developments in the security and humanitarian situation in the capital, Tripoli, continued its meetings on Sunday at the headquarters of the House of Representatives' branch in Tripoli, as part of its mandate.
House of Representatives spokesman Abdullah Blihaq explained in a press statement on Monday that the committee held a meeting with a number of members of the Political Parties Coordination Committee, during which they discussed the repercussions of the current situation in the capital, including the security and humanitarian challenges affecting the lives of citizens.
Blihaq confirmed that the meeting addressed ways to develop urgent and comprehensive solutions to the crisis, based on the will and demands of the Libyan people, and in a way that contributes to restoring stability and achieving security in Tripoli.
The spokesman indicated that the committee will continue its meetings and consultations with various stakeholders, as part of its efforts to overcome this difficult phase, in the national interest.
