Al-Dabaiba: Tripoli's stability provided an opportunity to advance efforts to unify the military and security institutions.

Tripoli 27 March 2023 (Lana) The Head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul-Hamid Al-Dabaiba, confirmed that Tripoli's stability gave an opportunity to advance local and international paths to unify the military and security institutions.

"This stability also contributed to the progress of our preparations for achieving national elections, according to fair and impartial laws that end the transitional stages," Al-Dabaiba said in a tweet.

"The elections will achieve a peaceful solution to the state of division and wars that threaten Libya's unity and the cohesion of our society," he added.

The PM concluded his tweet by saying "our constants are clear, yes to the civil state, no to the military state, yes to elections, no to extensions, yes to peace, no to wars. "

Al-Dabaiba's tweet came as a remark on the meeting of a number of Libyan Army leaders from east and west in Tripoli yesterday, supervised by the Joint Military Committee 5+5 and the auspices of the UN mission, with the aim of unifying the two military and security institutions and renouncing division to exit the country to safety.
