Tripoli, 20 March 2023 (Lana) Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dabaiba said on Monday that the private sector is indispensable and will lead the Libyan economy in the next stage. This came in a speech Al Dabaiba made at the opening of Al-Sayeh Industrial Complex, one of the largest industrial complexes in Libya, in which he expressed his admiration for it and praised Al-Sahel Holding Group, which owns the complex.

Al Dabaiba stressed that his government supports and encourages businessmen and companies that invest their money inside the country, and will stand with them, whether large or small projects, stressing the need to move towards development, construction, agriculture and industry.

He added that securing the food commodity for the Libyan people from within and providing job opportunities for national cadres is what encourages support for such productive projects. On Monday, the industrial complex in Sidi Sayeh, one of the largest modern industrial complexes in Libya, is privately owned and affiliated with the Sahel Holding Group. Located 60 kilometers south of Tripoli, the complex was built on an area of 420,000 square meters and is provided with clean energy by gas and solar power plants. The complex includes many food factories and other industries, the largest of which is the fodder factory of the Green Plain Company, which produces 1,400 tons per day, and a diaper factory with a capacity of 1.2 million pieces according to the latest equipment and the most accurate standards.
