Algiers 12 March 2023 (Lana) The Algerian Foreign Ministry announced that the Libyan file will be on the agenda of an official visit of the EU foreign policy official, Josep Borrell, to Algeria today.

According to the Ministry, the European-American officer will discuss several regional and international files, including the security situation in the Mediterranean through the issue of clandestine immigration, the situation in each of the Sahel countries, Libya, Western Sahara, and the Palestinian issue.

Borrell's visit comes with an intense European -American diplomatic activity in Libya by the envoys of four countries, Paris, Berlin, Rome, London, and Washington, to provide the necessary impetus to the initiative of the UN Envoy, Abdoulaye Bathily, who announced its axes , yesterday in Tripoli, to hold the election before the end of this year.
