Al-Mangoush meets US envoy to Libya and US Chargé d'Affaires

Tripoli, March 9, 2023 (LANA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Najla al-Mangoush met Thursday, with the US envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, and Chargé d'Affairs at the US Embassy, Leslie Ordeman.  

The meeting dealt with the latest developments of the political situation in Libya and exchanged views on supporting the initiative of the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General, Abdoulaye Bathily.

Amb. Norland stressed the importance of the ministry's role in cooperation and coordination regarding support for efforts aimed at making the political process led by the United Nations a success. For her part, Al-Mangoush stressed the continuous work of the Government of National Unity, in achieving the path of elections and stability to end the transitional stages, by unifying local and international efforts to achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people, according to the same source.
