Tripoli, March 7, 2023 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hameed Al-Dabaiba, met today, Tuesday, with the Canadian Ambassador to Libya, "Isabelle Savard", in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, "Najla Al-Mangoush".

During the meeting held in Tripoli, the ambassador affirmed her country's support for the work of the UN envoy "Abdullah Batili" to advance international efforts to hold elections during the year 2023, and Canada's desire to develop the relationship with Libya, according to the media office of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity.

For his part, Al-Dabaiba stressed the necessity of moving the work of the Canadian embassy to Tripoli, like most of the embassies that started their work from the capital.
