Al-Dabaiba expresses the Government's seriousness in supporting German partnerships and capabilities.

Tripoli 7 March 2023 (Lana)The Head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul-Hamid Al-Dabaiba, said that the convening of the Second German-Libyan Economic Forum reflects the interest of businessmen and officials in Germany and Libya's role in promoting and consolidating prospects for joint cooperation between the two friendly countries.

Al-Dabaiba in his remark expressed government's seriousness in supporting all German partnerships and capabilities to enhance development in Libya and commitment to benefit from German reports and experiences for cooperation in all areas and support German businessmen to benefit from their expertise.

"We are looking forward to investing in area of energy and alternative energy, and we are determined to establish an electric line with Europe, because Libya has the ingredients in the area of solar energy and hydrogen energy, as well as real investment in the area of oil and gas," PM said.

Al-Dabaiba confirmed that the government strongly supports the private sector which is the basic of development in Libya in the future, saying that Libya is a peaceful country, and it cannot be a source of terrorism.

"The train of stability in Libya has started, calling on all companies to return and invest in Libya, praising in this regard the role of German companies in Libya for decades, especially in the area of road construction, energy and other projects," he added.

Al-Dabaiba commended the ongoing Libyan-German program to accommodate Libyan students to study in Germany in all fields, especially medicine and engineering, appreciating the role of Germany through the Berlin Conference (1-2) in supporting the stability of Libya and looking forward to continuing this effective role within the African Union, in addition to Germany's support for civil society institutions, women, and all components.
