Tripoli, March 02, 2023 (LANA) - Today, Wednesday, the 40th session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers was held in the Tunisian capital with the participation of the Minister of Interior, Imad Mustafa Trabelsi.

During this session, which was launched under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Tunisia, Kais Saied, the ministers discussed activating the Council's work in the field of cybersecurity and combating electronic crimes, respecting human rights in security work, and amending the Council's regulations in line with developments.

The Council also reviewed the executive plan for the Arab strategy to combat terrorism, which was developed in line with the United Nations strategy to combat terrorism, according to what was published by the Ministry of Interior on its official Facebook page.

The session was attended by the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the interior ministers of the Arab countries, and senior security delegations, in addition to representatives of the League of Arab States, the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, the Arab Maghreb Union, the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), The United Nations Office for Combating Terrorism, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Europol, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences and the Arab Police Sports Federation.
