 Tripoli, 5 December 2022 (Lana) The first national forum for heads of local councils ‘mukhtars’ in Libya began in Tripoli today, under the slogan "a national entitlement that enhances the unity of the territory and supports reconciliation and stability" in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, "Abdul Hamid Al Dabaiba.

Al Dabaiba stressed in a speech at the gathering that the state relies on the mukhtars to cooperate with the mayors of municipalities in delivering services to citizens.

Al Dabaiba announced that the fifth of December was set as a national day for the mukhtars Libya, and work is starting from today to settle the dues of the mukhtars of the previous councils and the dues of the deceased ones.
