Tripoli, December 03, 2022 (LANA) - Today, Saturday, the Presidential Council received the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, "Abdullah Batili".

According to the presidential media office, Batili briefed, during the interview, "Al-Manfi" and the deputy in the parliament, "Abdullah Al-Lafi" about his recent meetings and talks on Libya.

The office indicated that the council renewed its support for the efforts of the UN envoy, and the steps he is taking to complete the implementation of the provisions of the road map, especially Article 4 of the map governing the preliminary stage.

For his part - according to the same source - Batili reiterated his commitment to the road map emanating from the Political Dialogue Forum as a ground for moving towards achieving political consensus in Libya by involving all political institutions emerging from the political agreement in formulating a solid constitutional basis, to move forward towards national elections.
