Tripoli, September 15, 2022 (LANA) - Announcing at the headquarters of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture the launch of the Cooperation Forum for Economic Diplomacy, in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, "Ramadan Abu Janah", the President of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, "Mohamed Al-Raid", and a number of accredited ambassadors In Libya to a number of brotherly and friendly countries: Algeria, Tunisia, Niger, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Malta, Germany and Switzerland, and representatives of the United Nations mission headed by the United Nations Resident Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs and Chargé d’Affairs, Mrs. Georgette Gagnon, and the Consul and Commercial Attaché at the Embassy Italy, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Under-Secretary for Cooperation and Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Spokesperson for the Government of National Unity, and Director of the European Department of Foreign Affairs.

 During the announcement, emphasis was placed on the high level of security in the capital, and on the importance of consolidating relations with friendly countries, especially with neighboring countries and Mediterranean and European countries, including the countries that hosted previous dialogues that contributed to achieving the Libyans’ ambition to reach the formation of a government of national unity, whose main objective is to work on creating a climate Within the framework of the peaceful transfer of power to reach fair and impartial elections.

 The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the importance of the General Federation of Chambers, as it is the voice of the Libyan private sector by participating in proposals and initiatives with the Libyan state in coordinating everything related to economic policies. Financial, commercial or monetary, given that the government’s priorities are the development and strengthening of the Libyan private sector.

 In a speech on the occasion, he called for more partnerships and trade exchange, given that giving Euro-Mediterranean countries priority to economic and development cooperation with Libya will have positive repercussions even on the Mediterranean region, Africa and Europe, in terms of security and economics. For all parties, and pushes forward towards the development of commercial and humanitarian relations between the State of Libya and its European partners and neighboring countries within the framework of economic diplomacy pursued by the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.
