Bleiheg: House of Representatives reaches a number of decisions on the items on its agenda.

   Benghazi, 15 September 2022 (Lana) The House of Representatives discussed in its session held on Thursday in Benghazi a number of items on its agenda, foremost of which is the vote on the President of the Supreme Court after his nomination by the General Assembly of the Court and the approval of the High Council of State, according to the statement of the spokesman of the Council, "Abdullah Bleiheg".

 Bleiheg explained, in a press statements that the House of Representatives concluded in the meeting it held today a number of procedures and decisions, including the unanimous vote on the assignment of "Abdullah Aburziza" as the President of the Supreme Court, the relief of deputies who have held jobs in the state from the membership of the House of Representatives, the acceptance of the resignation of the deputies who submitted their resignations, and selection of a second deputy of the Council in the next meeting, in addition to issuing an appeal to the deputies absent from the sessions to attend the sessions of the Council and its committees or they will be subject to the revocation of their membership as a result of their violation of their job duties.

The council also reached an agreement to refer the draft law of the Constitutional Court to the legislative committee, circulate it to deputies for review and presentation during the next sessions, as well as to assign a committee of experts to prepare a plan for the distribution of oil and gas revenues and find a fair mechanism to benefit from them for all Libyans.

It was also decided at the meeting that the Prime Minister (appointed by the House) immediately begins his work and summon him to present its findings and the obstacles it faces in order to contribute to overcoming it, to declare the heads of the bodies of the House of Representatives who have not complied with the decisions of the House of Representatives, and have not submitted their periodic reports to the House of Representatives that they have no legal status, and to request the High Council of State to expedite the response to the House of Representatives to nominate the heads of these bodies to fight corruption and hold accountable the defaulters.
