The Governmental Experts group on the Mechanism of the United Nations Convention against Corruption for the State of Libya discusses in Vienna efforts to cooperate with international organizations.

   Vienna, 10 September 2022 (Lana) A joint meeting between the Intergovernmental team of Experts on the Mechanism of the United Nations Convention against Corruption of the State of Libya and a number of international non-governmental organizations was held at the headquarters of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna, Austria.

The meeting reviewed the work of the Group of Governmental Experts on the role of civil society institutions to promote a culture of transparency and anti-corruption in the State of Libya and discussed ways of joint cooperation between the Group of Governmental Experts and international organizations.

For his part, member of the Government Expert Group and Director of the Civil Society Department at the National Anti-Corruption Commission, "Fouad Aboudiya", said that the meeting comes within the framework of exchanging views on contributing to the strengthening of NGO standards and the formation of strategic partnerships related to the role of civil society organizations in spreading the culture of combating corruption.

The meeting was attended by members of the Group of Governmental Experts of the State of Libya and international experts of the United Nations Office on Combating Crime and drugs and heads and representatives of non-government organisations.
