Italy’s Eni's director says firm determined to continue exploratory activities in Libya.

  Tripoli, 25 May 2022 (Lana) The Director General of Italy's oil and gas giant Eni, Antonio Bolsari, confirmed that the company is determined to continue its exploration and development activities in Libya, opening up new prospects for investment, capacity-building and training.

This came during his meeting in Tripoli on Wednesday, with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation Mustafa Sun’Allah, in the presence of Bashir Qureia, advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the corporation, Director General of legal affairs, Khalafallah Ibrahim, and the Director of the Maintenance and Projects Department Najmi Karim.

The website of the National Oil Corporation outlined the most prominent topics discussed during this meeting: follow-up the progress of the business at the various sites of the company Mellita Oil and Gas "Operator", and ways to develop and strengthen joint cooperation to invest in the discovered but not developed oil and gas fields to achieve the target, which is to increase production rates to support the national economy.

At the meeting, Sun’Allah confirmed that the National Oil Corporation will continue to cooperate with its strategic partner Eni to achieve the corporation’s plans and future aspirations for the development of the Libyan oil sector, highlighting the strong historical relations that bind the National Oil Corporation and Eni over many years.
